Who is Phong Tran?

Phong Tran (in Vietnamese my full name is Trần Hải Phong). I was born in Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam in 2004 and raised there until 2023. My lifetime was mostly based on Technology when I mostly using computer for coding since I was 11 years old.

Besides of learning subjects at schools during my secondary school, I have attended technology club team and participated in Robothon international tournaments, then TouchDevelop city level competition for STEM academy, a company that organise robotics and coding (Scratch and TouchDevelop), and national tournament in World Robot Olympiad.

After secondary schools, I studied Aptech Computer Education during my high school (me and other classmates there are the one and only generation studied that for high-school), in Advanced Diploma in Software Engineering (ADSE). Then, I took a year gap for studying english and IT certificate, which are IELTS and NCC, respectively. During that time, I got the offer from Swinburne University of Technology for Bachelor of Computer Science, majoring in Artificial Intelligence for 2 years (with 1 year exemption due to Diploma degree). I accepted that offer and in July 2023, I leaved my home country to move to Melbourne, Australia for studying overseas in that degree.

Currently, I am in the last year of my bachelor degree, so it will quite tiring and challenging for me because there are so many units that related to AI and last year projects.

Nowadays, I live in Balwyn North, Victoria, AU, 3104.

Hobbies

Love writing blog by setting up, for me: privacy, running smooth without lags in both from my experience and user's experience and hassle-free with diverse features.

Travelling: low-budget is preferable, and I love to sightseeing on beach, mountain, have a visit at museum but not in depth.

Exercising: Bicycle is my top favourite, but only riding in flat roads not steep and consecutive hills that make myself tired to enjoy). Moreover, joggings is another favourite when it comes to early morning (I had been doing that with my father when I was 9 or 10 years old)

What this site means to myself ?

Phong Tran is an independent publication launched in July 2024, and it mainly focused on tech and life, which mostly from travelling and opinions.
